FEATHERDALE ZOO IN CAMDEN AREA

                                     OUR TRIP TO THE ZOO!

KOALAS

Are they just so cute!! The Koalas sleep most of the time or just hang out in the trees.  We have not seen any in the wild but they have been sighted in our area!

Tasmanian Devil

Dingo's roam everywhere...we are told and are a real danger to children and pets!!

                                                                                                                                                                                                                              

LOVELY BIRDS EVERYWHERE

Lorikeets..bright green, blue, yellow, and orange. They fly around the neighborhood and we found these in a ward members backyard.  They had at least 8 they were feeding.

Galahs...the gray and pink ones are really beautiful and are found in our neighborhood!

  Sulphur-crested  Cockatoo!    
 They are everywhere...in the trees, in peoples yards.  They squawk loudly as it is their mating season...actually they squawk all the time!!  We think they are beautiful but annoying at night! They will let you walk right up to them as people feed them.


Australian White Ibis...weird looking bird!!  Found in all the parks around Campbelltown

                                              Dusky Moohen ....strange and colorful!

Kookaburra....my favorite.  We have been here a year and just saw him.  We hear him in the mornings and evenings laughing away!!!!

There are hills everywhere that have forests on them or houses...you are always going up and down....is beautiful!

 WE LIVED IN A SMALL COMPLEX OF SIX FLATS...NICE AND COZY!
ON THE ONE SIDE OF THE ROAD NOTICE THE FLAT BED TRUCK...
ARVIN THINKS THEY ARE SO CUTE AND WOULD LIKE TO HAVE
ONE!

 THESE ARE THE TOMATO PLANTS JOAN PLANTED IN THE BACK YARD.  THE FRUITS OF HER LABORS!
 JOAN ASKED A NEIGHBOR FOR A HAMMER TO POUND A STAKE IN AND HE GAVE HER A STEAK
TENDERIZING TOOL!  WE HAD TO GO BACK FOR HIS SLEDGE HAMMER...WE LAUGHED ABOUT THAT!!

 

 

OUR LIVING ROOM/OFFICE AND OUR KITCHEN....SMALL BUT EFFICIENT!

WE HAD TW0 BEDROOMS AND ONE BATH.












AT THE END OF OUR STREET WAS A BUSH AREA THAT WENT FOR MILE AND MILES.

 OUR NEIGHBORHOOD WITH THE COCKATOOS WAITING FOR BREAD!
