NEW MEMBER FIRESIDE AT BUCKLAND HOUSE NEAR THE TEMPLE

Nighttime view of the Sydney Australia Temple! We were there for a New Member Fireside which was held in a building close by.  Two of the women Mona Lisa and Deborah Langdon are recent converts in the Ingleburn Ward.  It was a lovely meeting with about 50 people in attendance.

HARBOR CRUISE FROM CIRCULAR QUAY

View of the city skyline and the Harbor Bridge.  You can walk on the top of the bridge for the price of about $200!! I guess there are handrails to hold onto..not for us!
Arvin and Carl are pointing out some people they see walking on the bridge.

The Opera House...really amazing! and then a church right in the middle of the high rise buildings.

AN ABORIGINAL PLAYING A DIDGERIDOO

OUR AUSTRALIA SYDNEY MISSION PRESIDENTS

President Jeffrey Simmons and Sister Diane Simmons were the ones in charge when we arrived.  They  left in July of 2012.  Sad to see them go...they were wonderful and loved by everyone in the Mission!

President Simmons always played the piano when we sang  'Called to Serve'! Especially powerful when all the missionaries sang together!

SEALING OF THE DANIKA FAMILY

A great experience to see a family sealed in the temple so they can be together forever! This family is originally from New Zealand.  Brother Daunika is from Figi.

OUTING TO DARLING HARBOR.....SYDNEY

Arvin and I drove into the suburb of Penshurst where the Harper's live and from there we took the train into Darling Harbor which is in Sydney. I could not believe how serene the Harbor looks with the city behind in this picture.

Arvin and Carl  waiting for the train.  This was our first trip on the train!

We went to the I Max Theater and watched in 3D 'The Last Reef'....was brilliant!  Arvin said he did not need to go snokeling as he had just seen it all.  There are many places to eat around the wharf and things to do. When we did find food the pidgeons found us.  We sat on the steps to eat and here they all came!!

Pigeons were watching and waiting while we ate on the steps overlooking the harbor!!! The longer we sat there more and more of these pesky birds flew in and sat at the bottom of the steps waiting.

Downtown Sydney and the Harbor Bridge all close by Darling Harbour.

Sunset as we were driving home! What a beautiful day!!

The Australian's say you should buy fish and chips for lunch by the beach.. might be an idea

Thought this was so cute...a man and his dog fishing!! that is the life!!

Our favorite little bakery on the way home from the beach!! We love their caramel long johns yummm

THE OCEANWORLD AQUARIUM AT MANLY BEACH WITH THE SISTER MISSIONARIES

Aquarium full of sharks of several varieties, sting rays and other strange fish of the ocean!

OUTING WITH THE SISTER MISSIONARIES OF NSW!!

There are around 16 young Sister missionaries and all were invited by Sister Simmons for an outing.  Some had to come 8 hours away!  I was so happy to go along and drive all the way to Sydney by myself to be there!! Sister Simmons had a great lunch prepared for us to eat at the beach.  Then we went shell hunting, exploring and take pictures!

Sister Simmons and myself at Balmoral Beach! What a great place to be!
